Ultimaker Original with Heated Bed profile

Hi,

I'm new to Simplify3D and still learning the ways.

I have an Ultimaker Original I recently upgraded with the official Heated Bed Upgrade. (Nice upgrade!)

I thought it would be a simple addition to the Ultimaker Original but wow....so many tabs and check boxes. I decided to stop and ask :)

(The Ultimaker Original is different than the Ultimaker Original +. Different electronics, so that wasn't a good option)

Thanks!

Don't you just go to the Temperature tab and click "Add Temperature Controller" and then use the radio buttons to select that it's a "Heated build platform"?

Then you can just copy all of the other settings from whatever your extruder was using (of course, changing the setpoint temperatures as needed)

Even with different electronics the umo+ and umo +bed are the same on x/y/z size and speeds, motors, etc. It will work just the same.

If you're totally new, I would strongly suggest watching their video series. It was really helpful when I got started: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... DJpQBVf-Ss

And I'm not sure what else to tell you about how to find those options. I pretty much wrote out every step... Perhaps you aren't familiar with any of the process settings yet?? (you click the "Edit Process Settings" button in the lower left to get there)

I'm working my way through those.

Perhaps I was being a little lazy, hoping a profile for this printer already existed 8-)
