Help tuning in ColorFabb XT Clear settings for spiral bulb

Hello all,

I'm trying to print this spiral bulb with http://colorfabb.com/xt with no supports. I've attached the .fff and photos. I feel like I need to focus on retraction distance, maybe speed (currently 50 mm/s default speed with something like 50% outline speed so I feel like that's too hot and too slow) and if I want to get rid of the slight aesthetic layer ending "interruption marks" or "bumps/zits" then I would focus on coasting distance.

I'm thinking I should decrease temp by 5 degrees to 245 because I'm probably printing a little hot so I'll try that next. As I tinker myself, I'm hoping to pick the brains of the community that has more experience with ColorFabb's XT Clear on the FlashForge Creator Pro.

I appreciate the time and consideration to help with this issue. I'll be sure to post successful settings once they've been tuned in.

Thank you,

- Chris

Re: Help tuning in ColorFabb XT Clear settings for spiral bu

I would go download a simple retraction test part from thingiverse and get the settings correct for that first. That will just make the iteration process much faster for getting those settings correct, since they are usually much smaller, faster printing test parts.
