Slicing issue - random chunks missing

Greetings,

I have a model that I'm slicing and every time I slice it I'm seeing random errors that are being introduced during the slicing process. The model appears great and has no issues, but every time I click "Prepare to print" different chunks are missing.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Re: Slicing issue - random chunks missing

Are you sure those aren't just coasting sections? When the printer coasts, it stops extruding. So if you turn on the "Travel moves" option in the preview, you should see tiny travel movements in those gaps if they are actually coasting sections.

If you disable coasting, do they go away?

Re: Slicing issue - random chunks missing

I did raise a feature request to include an option to ignore the coasting just for the purposes of being able to see a simulation of what the model would look like:

It didn't get any favourable comments, though!
