TAZ 6 profile

I know this is probably a long shot but does anyone have a working profile for the TAZ 6 yet?

I've been trying since last night to get iot to work but it just won't go - the printer kind of behaves ok till after the autolevelling...then the LCD flashes up "daydreaming..." then says "cooling..." and stays there.

Anyone able to offer any help?

Re: TAZ 6 profile

If you have a working Taz 6 profile, I'd be interested in a copy.

Thanks
Rich.

Re: TAZ 6 profile

What did you get to get past this issue with the gCode, i'm having the same issue with the start code copied over from Cura's profile on this trying to hack this together myself. Some help here with the profile for the Taz 6 would be great, thanks

Re: TAZ 6 profile

When will support release a profile for the Taz 6? Or can someone from the community who has had success share their settings?

Sure bud.

It's been refined a bit from earlier versions. I only have 1.75mm PLA for now so thats what I've set it up for so make sure you aset your fillament properties properly.

just finished a 30 hour toyota engine block. printed perfectly with amazing definition on all overhangs etc

Re: TAZ 6 profile

Thanks for the base profile, looks similar to the one I came up from Cura. I notice you had your filament diameter set or left to 1.75 though in your profile. Taz 6 should be 2.89 for the filament. I'll give this a go having to make a few tweaks for the NGEN filament. Thanks!

Re: TAZ 6 profile

Other than add a filament type or two and changing the filament diameter, was anything else changed? How are the quality of your prints? I'm using the Taz 6 profile setup using the wizard and added HIPS material type. This is practically the same settings as ABS but I wanted a separate profile I could tweak. Only thing is that my print quality is poor at best. Any of the Cura profiles has this beat by a long shot. Despite there being 3 shells by default the print looks like it's under extruding. The print is spotty and not solid.

Re: TAZ 6 profile

Hello I've started with the default profile and I've made a few tweaks. For some reason no matter what I have the extruder temp set to the G-code only tells the printer to heat to 170*

Has anyone else ran into this? I've sent a support request but I haven't yet heard back so I'm guessing this must be something relatively uncommon.

Thanks!

Re: TAZ 6 profile

It heats to a fixed temperature for the calibration routine, then once that is done, it will heat to the temperature you specified before starting the print. I'm sure that's intentional, as otherwise it would ooze all over during probing.
