unable to print part in simplify 3d - need help

hi all im finding it impossible to print this model in simplify 3d http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:884620. I have previously successfully printed this model in cura. there seems to be something wrong with how the first layer has been sliced. is there anything i can do to get this working with simplify 3d? ive attached my pla profile

It might help if you showed a picture of the first layer. That will make it easier for people to provide suggestions since just saying there's "something wrong" isn't very descriptive

on the first layer im getting overlaps. its supposed to be a flat layer
