After a couple of days using 3.1 I can only encourage everybody to switch to the new version.
Seems that a lot has been improved under the hood. Printing results with my long bowden extruder delta are significantly better now. With 3.0 I couldn't reduce the Z seam to an acceptable level.
Furthermore I can now reduce my extrusion length significantly without getting problems. For the first time also the advanced setting "extrusion during wipe movement" is working. With 3.0 my extruder started to make scary noise having this option enabled.
Watch out, the previous version remains installed and in dock (OS X) !
