Selective Extrusion Multiplier

I basically want to intentionally under extrude a portion of my print. The end result would be that I would have a built-in water/air filter. I've accidentally created parts before that couldn't hold water because the filament was under extruded and there were micron level spaces between the rows of plastic. I'd like to take advantage of this "feature" in one area of my print. I think I'll need something similar to the Slic3r "solid" modifier feature to make this happen. Is there a way in S3D?

Thanks,
Ian

Re: Selective Extrusion Multiplier

How about creating a new process for that selection of layers? So you would set up your process for the whole print then duplicate it twice.
Take the first duplicate (process 2) and modify the extrusion multiplier as needed. Leave process 3 alone since you will go back to the original configuration after the modified one.

Then go into each of the three processes and set the stop and start points. So, process 1 stops at layer X, and process 2 starts at the same layer X but then also stops at layer XX (unless it can run to the end of the print). Then process 3 starts at layer XX and runs to completion.

Might get it for you.
