Hi S3D Team,
Recently I picked up (and refurbished) a Leapfrog Creatr Dual that I could only operate via USB connection. I've been using S3D for about 3 years but have only recently begun using it to control a 3D printer. With previous printers, both single and dual extruders, they've had a controller integrated that allowed me to jog the machine directly without connecting my PC. Also, because of this, I only ever used the SD card to transfer and run the G Code files. As the Creatr has no control panel on board I could only use the Machine Control Panel for manual jogs.
For the last week, I've done a number of things (including re-homing X, restarting [the printer, the software, the PC], disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable, using other USB ports on the PC, switching cables, bypassing the outer USB connection on the printer and connecting directly to the control board, upgrading the firmware, checking all of the wiring, directly controlling the motors, etc.,...) in an attempt to isolate the cause of the problem and finally stumbled on the bug this morning. I am able to successfully and consistently repro this bug.
The BUG:
This only occurs with T1 selected, when jogging the head along the X axis, the head only moves in the positive direction.
The head also travels further than the selected jog control intends.
Using the command line in the communication panel, the problem also occurs if I don't specify T0 (with T1 selected from the drop-down).
I can switch to T0 and the head will move correctly with the jog controls and command line.
I don't see this occur while running any G Code files using either both extruders or only T1.
Please let me know if you need any additional information that may help to resolve this problem.
THx,
LEo
