This is a followup on: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5897
I would like plain text settings for these reasons:
- I would like to make backup with e.g. git.
- I have just altered my S3D settings to something that doesn't work, and I have no idea what settings was altered. Having the program setting in plain text also makes it a lot easier to see what has been changed.
- It makes it a lot easier to share settings between different computers
On mac the application settings are stores at: ~/Library/Application Support/Simplify3D/S3D-Software
But it is in a binary format.
I really don't wanna make an profile export at each app startup.
Or perhaps CLI to import/export would be an ok solution.

I would like to have something similar. I must agree changing settings and being able to compare versions would be handy. Exporting FFF profiles are xml files right?
What I would like, which would also answer your question, being able to export the settings (per tab or in total) to clipboard. This would make discussions on forums easier as you can copy & paste these
Also making it possible to store these settings into a personal notepad.
