I've been printing a lot cylinders in TPU, and have found that infill geometry has tremendous affect on structure for loads applied in specific directions (e.g. a cylinder that needs to deform locally with radial loads at the centre while remaining stiff in compression with axial loads at the ends.
The only way to do this now is to completely design the 3D print in NURBS, including infill, export it as unjoined meshes and print at 100%. This is not ideal since its settings-specific, i.e. if I swap my nozzle for one of a different size, I have to redesign the part.
If there were a radial infill option, I could use it with the variable settings wizard to better tailor the print to it's end use, with only one CAD file that will work with different printer settings.
