Empty Screen

I have an empty screen when I try to open to start a new print. No grid and no axes. When I try to import an STL I receive a message that says "Cannot auto arrange. Largest part exceeds build dimensions." There must be a simple explanation. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Firstly....is this an issue you are reporting ?....or is this a starting position for the second sentence of your post?
When I try to import an STL I receive a message that says "Cannot auto arrange. Largest part exceeds build dimensions."
The message is stating a fact. The largest part ....in your case probably the only part.....has been detected as being too big for the build plate of the current printer the software is working with. Either the part is too big.....or the build plate dimensions are not set up correctly.

Are you having this issue when loading any part? Or do you only get this message for a single part?

I think some answers are needed. It'll get too complicated to answer "If......then, else if....... then , but if ..... then. :(
