Is it a bug or a feature that you can't have multiple processes in the same print wherein some pieces have rafts and some don't? (v. 4.0.1, Mac OS High Sierra v. 10.13.2)
Its neither a bug nor a feature. You CAN have multiple processes with some having a raft and others not having a raft.
If you want some help with your particular circumstance...then attach a factory file so someone has an idea of exactly what you're trying to do....and an idea of what your problems are!
Just thought I'd check first, since I couldn't find any messages about similar issues.
What's happening is that when I try to include the process that has a raft (Process 2) with either of the others, the printer starts the print (or tries to, rather) at the level where the top of the raft would have been. If I print the rafted part without including any of the other parts/processes, it prints the way it should.
Factory file is attached. I'm printing on a Lulzbot Taz 5; upgraded Marlin firmware a few weeks ago, can't remember the version number but I'll add it as soon as the current print finishes.
Firmware version is 1.1.5.44, but I don't think that has anything to do with it, because the raft issue shows up in print preview, if you look at it from the proper angle.
This looks like a bug. I see the same as you, so you might have to just print parts separately to work around the problem. Getting it to print all at once with the settings you require seems to be impossible.
Thanks for the reply...it turned out I didn't actually need a raft in this case, but if I did it would be pretty annoying. dkightly says it can be done, but I haven't found a way to make it work yet....
