Update machine definition will not modify the actual firmware on your printer. Your printer likely has a software limitation of not being able to travel more than 200mm in Z. I would contact the manufacturer for assistance with making firmware modifications.
While it's not currently possible I can certainly suggest it be added as an option or even the default behavior in a future release. Thank you so much for your input!
Concentric and regular printing modes should both still have their extrusion lines butted up against one another. If this isn't happening then some extrusion settings calibration may be needed.
James, This all sounds great. retractions and priming inserted with a REPLACE command will not have knowledge of the current E value leading up to your pause command. So if you include adjustments to the E value I recommend that they be performed with "Relative Extrusions" enabled and then disabled ...
Our team hasn't had a chance to get our hands on one of these yet but it strongly resembles the Monoprice MP mini. I would recommend starting from that profile and fine tuning from there.
You can change the fan speed based on which extruder is active by utilizing either a toolchange script containing IF statements or a post processing script that does a TOOLREPLACE.
