I just purchased S3d and have installed it on a Windows 8.1 64 bit system. This machine is setup for cad design and currently runs Solidworks and Mastercam software, I am stating this to show that I am not trying to run this on a Walmart computer. I currently use a Logitech performance MX mouse. I have the buttons programmed for my cad software for special keystrokes. I also am running Trend Micro antivirius.
After starting the program and importing a STL or for that matter even when I have no STL file in the graphics screen I cannot rotate ,translate, zoom ,etc anything in the graphics window. Now I can access all of the menu buttons and can change views with the menu but when I bring the pointer down into the graphics area the mouse is non responsive. I have tried a basic USB mouse and have tried using the 32 bit system but I have the same results.
I have sent two requests to Simplify's support and have gotten no replies, Not real pleased with customer support right now,or should I say NO customer support. I really think that two days is ample time for a reply from the maker of the software.
Ok done with my rant. I have a sister machine to the one that I am having issues with and S3d runs fine on that machine. I now think that it is possibly machine related but have no clue where to start. I am a complete Noob when it comes to windows 8 so I am asking for any guidance that anyone might be able to supply.
Thanks in advance !
