How can I set the Extrusion Speed?

I'm trying to use the CF-XT20 filament, with Robo3D Printer, I have the filament set at ABS, tho I'm sure that setting doesn't change anything

It's suggested to use 40-70mm/s extrusion with this filaments, I can't find a setting that allows me to limit the speed

Either I have to correlate the X/Y/Z speed somehow and reduce them, or correlate the default extrusion speed and reduce the print speed from the override speed knob

I would appreciate some advice, but as it seems, Simplify 3D can't just simply halt the print speed - or set the extrusion speed to a constant and calculate the other speeds based on that

(There is also the default print speed, however I interpret that one as the movement speed, am I supposed to set that one at 40-70?)

Re: How can I set the Extrusion Speed?

On the Other tab > default printing speed

On the Extruder tab > Extrusion Multiplier

On the Machine Control Panel > Extrusion Override dial

Any of these 3 allow you to control the extrusion speed / flow rate. the default printing speed is measured in mm/s; that's where I'd start.

The multiplier and the override perform the same calculation based on the default printing speed. The primary difference AFAIK is that with the dial you can modify the flowrate in real time during a print so you can print a test piece and tweek it on the fly.

All of your printing speeds are based off of the "default printing speed" setting. For example, the outline underspeed and support structure underspeed settings are all relative to that default printing speed. So all you need to do is lower the default printing speed to below 70mm/s and everything else will be automatically adjusted.

The "movement speed" as you described is controlled separately by the "X/Y axis movement speed" and "Z axis movement speed" settings.
