Why is it not full filled?

Hello,

as you can see in the Picture added, between the Skirt Lines are no space.
But between the first Layer Lines are a Space. ( mrked with the Red Arrow )
This Space between the Lines are also in the printed Model and i dont want that.

I checked the Parameters, but i dont know what Setting is responsible for that Space?

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Matthias

Re: Why is it not full filled?

S3D handles filling the gaps in a different way. especially when it has to do with outlines, you need a complete outline/perimeter to fill in the gap. Since it cannot fit another rectangle in that gap, it leaves it open. Set your First layer Extrusion width to something thicker like 120-150%. This will close the gap at least in the bottom surface.

Re: Why is it not full filled?

Hello,

thanks for the reply.
But did you look in the FFF File i attached?
If i am right, and this is what you mean, i have 150% for the first Layer.

Re: Why is it not full filled?

Try setting your first layer width to 120% and Thin Wall Behavior to Gap fill at 50%.

Re: Why is it not full filled?

Hello,

i changed the "Extrusion Multiplier" back to 1.0.
Now it seams to work. Maybe that was the reason.

Re: Why is it not full filled?

I would not recommend messing with the extrusion multiplier - this should be used only to compensate for over or underextrusion.

Try what Doug recommended. I set the First layer width to 100 and thin wall behavior to 50% and got 2 outlines complete.

Re: Why is it not full filled?

Hello,

ok, i will do that ( but tomorrow :-) )...but i dont understand the second part:
Thin Wall Behavior to Gap fill at 50%
What must i here do and where ? I search for a "GAP Fill " Settig, but did not find that.

Sorry...i am a bit new in S3D
