I followed the tutorial vidéo frome Simplify 3D ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tlrCpwAV4M ) but the software doesn't genarte support when clicking on the button =/

any idea of why it is like this ?

Thanks

Re: No Support generated !

Maybe you used to high pillar resolution and/or wrong overhang angle. Or wrong Support Type (e.g. from Build Platform only)
Can you post the STL file where you have problems?
Or even better the Factory File (File => Save Factory File As)

Re: No Support generated !

The pillar resolution is at 4mm and I want the support to be frome the buildplate only !!!

Here is the factory file :

I was trying to work with that file and it seems your STL has errors. Trying to fix them in S3D really messed things up. Perhaps others will have more luck.

Here we go. Works fine now. Used Freecad with this workflow: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7381&p=31861#p31868

Repairing with Microsoft's free 3D Builder app also cured the problem. Its a free to download app in Windows10.
