FLSun T1 Pro Fan Control not working

Hi All!

S3D Support won't help since I won't pay them for a v5 upgrade, lol.

I just setup an FLSun T1 Pro Delta and S3D 4.1.1 and the layer cooling fan control isnt' working.

I set the values in the slicer, slice the file, check the gcode and the commands are there, but it doesn't control the printer during the print.

I have layer 1 speed to 0 and layer 5 speed to 50%.

At the layer one line in the GCode I see M106 S0
At layer five I see M106 S128

When the print runs the fan ramps to 100% and never changes unless i manually adjust via the printer's control screen.

Help?!

just a guess - but is that printer running a klipper based firmware? If so, might some macros interfere with your cooling settings?
Maybe you can slice a simple item (box) and share the gcode?

Looks good as far as I can tell. Maybe you'd like to check the printer configuration somewhat closer, maybe there's
some kind of M106 macro or print start/end settings inside the printer.cfg to be found. Not owning a FLSun T1 Pro
or running Klipper on my printers, so there's not much more I can suggest, I'm afraid...

Edit: If you have a working Slicer set up for the T1 Pro you might also want to check out which maros are invoked and
used. They might also be responsible for proper autolevelling and so on. Look for things like "START_PRINT" inside the
gcode file from a slicer which you know works well with that printer.

Thanks, I'll keep digging. I forgot to mention i compared the fan control commands to a file sliced with Orca (that worked) and it matched the S3D slice, so its gotta be something else.

Interestingly there are some Klipper commands inside the orca file which aren't used with your current S3D profile. Things like
"SET_TMC_CURRENT" or "SET_PRESSURE_ADVANCE". Maybe somebody with experience in Klipper/S3D will chime in, in the meantime
I'd probably try to copy/paste the orca start/end code and replace all the prusa/orca variables with the ones used in S3D, things like
"[first_layer_bed_temperature]" (prusa/orca) vs. "[bed1_temperature]" (s3d) and so on.

Maybe the culprit are missing lines in the comments - while they're not read when parsing the file for gcode commands they will be used
in certain cases by your printer anyways, like the thumbnail blocks on top of the file (notice how they're technically comments, with a preceding ";"). Maybe it's as easy as something missing like "; EXECUTABLE_BLOCK_START" which causes the printer to not "recognize" it's in the printing process and therefore using some overrides for fans.... looking for Klipper/S3D in general and not specific to that printer model might yield some results.
