Settings for Vellemann Vertex K8400

I'm looking for the best settings for my Vellemann Vertex K8400 3D printer.
Anybody using this with S3D?

I'm trying to use it also for my k8400, the support structure is great, but the the print is like polystirole foam :( i think the flowrate ist to low. would be great if there is a import filter for the cura settings ;)

Re: Settings for Vellemann Vertex K8400

I've just installed S3D and I'd be grateful for some tips (the Vertex is also my first 3D printer). I read on the Vertex forum about deleting the heated bed, but some other settings, namely XYZ parameters and 'Flip Build Table Axis' set for Y-axis don't look right compared to the Vertex Repetier-Host settings. Should I set to the same as Repetier or doesn't it matter - I did choose the Vertex 8400 as machine. I haven't got round to starting a print yet

Re: Settings for Vellemann Vertex K8400

Nice with a Vertex thread! I've just started printing and there is obviously need for a lot of tuning to get the optimal print. With the default settings for K8400 I get too thick walls so part within parts that should be moving gets stuck in each other. I have tested with lowering the flow and that helps but then I get an almost see-through top layer. Look forward to share experience here.

One immediate question: Velleman says nozzle size is 0.35mm but Simplify3D has that setting as 0.5mm. Is this correct?

Does the Vertex use the same extruder at the K8400?
