S3D 3.0 skirt/brim generation fails

If I would like to generate a skirt/brim around my object S3D won't do it for me. Demo: http://fns.hu/screenshot/S3D-3_0-brim-g ... n-fail.mov

I tested and brim worked for me in a quick test. Do you get this on all parts, or just the model in the video?

I have tried several models but for me S3D 3.0 does not generate skirt/brim at all.

What happens if you do a skirt instead of a brim? Try setting the offset to 5mm.

Also post a FF so we can see if it's your settings somewhere else.

Skirt is the same - S3D does not generate it. How can I export a process definition? There was an export button in 2.2.2 but now only a "Save as new" button exists and I do not know where it saved my settings.

Finally I found it - I left "start printing at height" switch ON and its value at 0.2 mm (with 0.2 mm layer height so that's why it skipped the entire first layer) :) I tried it in v2.2.2 and it generated the brim even if I turned this switch ON.
On the other hand please explain how can I export a FF.

Close the process window. Goto file/export

And please export a factory file including the model that you have having trouble with (file --> save factory file as), because just an FFF profile probably still won't help much.

Re: S3D 3.0 skirt/brim generation fails

Are the layer heights the same in both versions of S3D? I had a project that had a slightly uneven bottom. A .2 layer height produced the brim, but a .15 layer height only produced a partial brim... turned I couldn't get the exact angle to get the edge completely resting on the print bed.

I ended up printing the first 2 layers at .2 and the rest at .15 through multiple processes.
