Re: First Layer not printing on a diagonal

Set as rectilinear. I am POSITIVE at this point the issue is within the .STL file generated by Fusion360. I went in and created a new design from scratch (there were some changes I wanted to make, so no biggee) and then exported it and S3D created a GCode that now has the 1st layer filled diagonally...

Re: First Layer not printing on a diagonal

No, it is set to 0

FWIW, I printed a different part last night and the angle of the infill was the normal diagonal pattern.

First Layer not printing on a diagonal

I have been fighting this one for a few days. The first layer prints along the Y axis, not diagonally like it used to. Been using S3D for 4-5 years now and at this point I can't see what setting controls this.

I am on the current version.

Re: Part being filled in

I got a response from support:

" In this file, Single outline Corkscrew printing mode (vase mode) is checked, causing infill to be disabled. "

Unchecking that (not sure why it was checked) cure the issue, I will need to look deeper when I get home and can be at the PC.

Re: Part being filled in

I have posted the file and others a couple of times. I will do so again. All files in question were created by F360. Factory file was posted as well at one point. I have uploaded a ZIP file of the .STL, F360 source file and the S3D Factory file. As I have said before this issue happens with all file...

Re: Part being filled in

Rotated in Z a couple of degrees in both directions, multiple times.
Top and bottom layers set to 0
Infill set to 0 (not sure why this was recommended)

same results, obviously this "work around" did not work. How about a solution from the software guys?

Re: Part being filled in

FWIW, I do not believe it is a specific file issue. If it is a program setting, I surely can't locate it.

ANY .STL file I open with the new version shows it without infill.

Re: Part being filled in

I guess I have to go back to version 4 which works, as I can't seem to get any help fixing this bug in version 5...

How do I get a refund for the update I purchased?

Or even better, how about some help with a solution to the problem I am having?

Re: Part being filled in

I am seeing the exact same issue. Parts previously printed with version 4 are now hollow!

I looked through the setting but can't see anything to change to cure this.

Where are the profiles - WIndows

I just installed S3D on a second Windows PC and need to copy all my Profiles and settings to the new Windows PC.

Where the heck are the Profiles kept? And more specifically what is the easiest (read Safest) way to copy them over. :D
